2014 Flight to 90,000 feet

This rocket was basically the same as the Thor; It had three motors in the first stage and a single motor for the second stage. It's constructed the same way as the Thor, with all carbon fiber construction and using solid rocket propellant.

The difference in maximum speed from the GPS and from the accelerometer are because GPS data above Mach 1.7 can not be transmitted by law.

Flight data

This is the summary of data from the flight, including results from GPS, accelerometer, temperature and baro sensor.

Battery information and temperature

Parachute deployment times and descent rates for drogue and main parachutes.

GPS group information for tracking and retrieving rocket upon landing.

First stage "boost" of the three motors.

Flight data

Everything above the ZERO line is "speeding up" and everything below the ZERO line is "slowing down".

This 3 second period is "coast" time between the first stage motors burning out and then the second stage lighting. This delay gives the rocket time to separate and gives more final altitude.

This is the second stage motors acceleration or "thrust" of 6 seconds.
